A dark woods in the middle of the night with a supposed cult inhabiting it for a dark ritual, doesn’t sound like a romantic evening, right? Either way Sam, Dean, Gabriel and Castiel found themselves in this exact spot unfortunately they’d arrived too late to stop the cult from summoning a pair of twin demons. Along with the twins a horde of demons appeared leading to a bloody battle luckily the boys had a pair of angels on their side however even for Gabriel who was an archangel it was a bit much. Eventually the angel brothers were overwhelmed enough for the other demons to get a hold of the Winchesters taking them to the twins.

“NO!” Cas exclaimed seeing the boys captured

“Hands off you black eyed bitch!” Dean snarled as the first twin caressed his chin with a wicked grin on her face.

“Don’t be that way…handsome,” She retorted with a voice that radiated with each word.

“That’s right, we’re gonna put you out of your misery’s soon enough,” The second who was now holding Sam’s chin chimed in.

“SAM!” Gabe shouted in distress

“Humph, we rule…” The first chimed

“Angels drool,” The second continued, both cackling.

Suddenly both twins griped the boy’s chins hard, yanking their heads harshly to the side to expose their throats. The twin’s mouths opened to reveal fangs right before sinking said fangs into the Winchester’s necks making them wince as strange orange lines ascended their necks, up their faces wrenching cries from their chests that made both angel’s blood run cold. The twins released their grips and the boys went limp in the demon minion’s arms. Gabriel’s grace boiled with anger, most underestimate Gabriel (mostly due to his stature) yet that doesn’t change the fact he’s an archangel however even for a seraph Castiel wasn’t someone to be messed with either. Gabriel’s grace radiated from his vessel while shooting a quick glance to Cas who nodded his understanding and with that he too began to radiate grace, in an instant the horde of demons was eradicated allowing the angel brothers to get up close to the twins who moved to defend themselves against the attacking angels but too late granted nothing could match the ferocity of a pair of angels fighting for their mates. The twins didn’t even see the strikes until after it happened both gasping for air as an angel blade stuck from both their chests straight through their backs, a few flashes later the twins were dead however despite hitting the ground the boys didn’t regain consciousness causing the angels to shoot worried glances to one another before making their way over to their mates, Cas took a knee next to Dean while Gabriel did the Same beside Sam both gently cradling the boys in their arms. Castiel was shaking Dean while calling his name while Gabriel attempted to heal Sam with his grace to no avail, whatever poison those two had injected into the Winchesters it was affecting their minds and was blocking their grace.

“Gabriel, what do we do? They’re not coming around,” Castiel worriedly stated

“Well, first of all we’re not going to panic…secondly; we need to get our boys somewhere safe,” Gabriel announced as he stood up, hauling Sam up with him, slinging the larger
Winchester over his shoulders while encouraging Castiel to do the same with Dean.
Castiel followed his brother’s lead eventually following him back to the bunker where they laid the boys on side by side beds in the infirmary. The brother’s breathing was starting to speed up quickly becoming shallow as beads of sweat gathered on their faces which only made the angel’s furrow deeper in worry.

“What do we do?” Cas wondered again looking to his big brother for answers

“There’s only one thing we can do…go in there and get ‘em,” Gabriel concluded looking more serious than Castiel had ever seen. The duo found a couple chairs to sit in then closed their eyes in concentration quickly transferring their grace to the boy’s unconscious minds.

Sam’s dream…
The pain shooting through Sam’s body was indescribable, beyond anything he’d ever felt before…trapped in this small dark dungeon cell as he was tortured by unseen hands. Just as things got completely off the charts for pain suddenly it would stop, Sam would be healed only for it to start all over again. Sam prayed for it to stop, prayed to be released from this…whatever this was! Just when all hope, all salvation appeared beyond Sam’s reach a bright light appeared in the darkness so bright Sam had to squint till his eyes adjusted. Sam almost thought it was a trick…another part of his torture until there was a slightly familiar tone calling his name yet it sounded distant as if whomever it was a fare bit away. Sam tried to call to the voice but his voice was raspy, hoarse and hurt making it impossible to call out, frustration over took him causing Sam to squeeze his eyes shut as tears streamed down his cheeks…then…a warm hand caressed his cheek. Sam’s eyes flew open and who he saw caused more tears to stream down his cheeks, happy tears as Gabriel hovered in front of him with a hand gently resting on his cheek. How was he hovering there? Sam had thought only to get the answer as he realized Gabe wasn’t hovering…he was flying. Six golden wings were beating behind Gabriel to keep him air borne while a golden light seemed to surround him…a light that quickly seemed to spread towards Sam.

“Hush Sammy…I’m here for Ya kiddo,” Gabriel assured Sam as he leaned forwards to press their lips together that made the warmth Sam felt from Gabe’s hand upon his cheek spread through his entire body.

Dean’s dream…

Dean grunted in pain as searing heat burned through his veins as if someone was injecting acid directly into them however there was no one there. Darkness surrounded Dean’s body yet it felt like he was entrapped in a small cell while unforeseen hands slowly tortured him beyond anything hell could ever dish out. Dean called for Sam but received no answer from the blackness until a light pierced it, cutting through it as if someone had just turned on a light or switched on a flashlight causing him to wince and avert his gaze. A faint call of his name though made Dean Look back only to see now that Castiel was the cause of this light, soaked in it he was…flying? Holy crap Cas had a pair of large iridescent black wings that flashed with blues, purples and highlights. Cas hovered in front of Dean clearly happy to see him as he quickly embraced the elder Winchester who embraced Cas back instantly being filled with a warmth that chased that painful blackness away.

Sam came around first with a startled gasp quickly followed by Dean who grunted painfully while sitting up. Both brothers however inhaled sharply with a wide eyes upon seeing the angels standing in front of them, they looked relieved yet behind them arched tightly against their backs were their wings. Seeing the appendages in that place wasn’t even close to what it was like to see them in real life, ignoring their pain the brother’s quickly stood up to approach their angels. Sam was aw struck as he stared at Gabriel’s gorgeous giant golden wings even Dean seemed a little speechless at seeing Castiel’s large pair of Iridescent black wings. That wasn’t all that had the brother’s at a loss for words though…the light that they’d seen in those black spaces, they’d both thought perhaps it’d been grace…but it wasn’t…faintly hovering in midair, barely visible over the angel’s heads were halos.
My last song based fic for the lovely :iconleighashworth1987:
The song was Halo by beyonce
My idea was that the song is sort of playing in the background all through the fic, perhaps for best effect listen to the song while reading. :)
